If you’re like me and spend days working from home, several good pairs of leggings simply have to be a staple of your wardrobe. However, when you have long legs and a tummy, most “normal” legging options are barely going to get over your calves. A 28 inch inseam? Aw, cute!

Luckily, tall plus size leggings have been embraced by a variety of brands, be they tall or plus. I have three personal favorites I’ve listed below in terms of what you want (overall value, super long legs, and extended sizes) but the other options listed here all come with excellent and helpful reviews.

Only leggings with long inseams and plus sizes are included here, and this list is updated regularly!

  • Best value: Ewedoos high-waist yoga pants (Amazon)
  • Best casual leggings for super long legs: Alloy tall high waist basics (Alloy)
  • Best for extended sizes (totally squat proof): Superhold Pocket Leggings (Superfit Hero)

best tall plus size leggings

ewedoos high-waist yoga pants

Best for: Value
Sizes up to: 3X
Inseam: 34”
Price: $35.99

plus size high waisted yoga pants

These are my go-to for any workout or when I’m just hanging around the house. The 3X fits down to my ankle and the high waist secures my tummy really well, essentially working as a compression device and keeping everything in place which for me, is a rarity. These are my personal choice for the best plus size tall leggings because of the low price tag that delivers a true fit and comfort.

I was banging the yoga mat for these in my round up of tall plus size yoga pants, and I’ll continue to do so in the context of leggings!

alloy tall high waist basic leggings

Best for: Super long legs
Sizes up to: 20
Inseam: 37”
Price: $39

alloy tall plus size black leggings

Keep it basic in black with these super tall plus size black leggings from Alloy. Awesome to see them offering what look to be the longest leggings around! Reviewers over 6 foot tall all compliment these on their true length through the ankle. The only disappointment is that they don’t go beyond a size 20, but if it fits, flaunt it!

superfit hero superhold pocket leggings

Best for: Holding everything in place
Sizes up to: 7X
Inseam: 29”
Price: $98

Plus size girls, the search for leggings that keep everything in ends here. Superfit’s “superhold” leggings really live up to their name, with reviewers citing them as squat proof, soft, and breathable. I absolutely love the side pockets in these too!

The inseam isn’t super long but for perspective, these leggings do cover the ankles of their 5’8″ model (pictured above.) Women 5’10” or over will probably have to accept these won’t cover your ankles, but with sizes going all the way to 7X, these are pretty much the most size-inclusive leggings going right now.

faux leather long plus size leggings

Long Tall Sally, the British beauties, produce great activewear in plus sizes, but I thought I’d focus on this eye-catching pair of faux leather leggings for leggings with a more dressy feel.

LTS make clothes specifically for tall and very tall women, and they now ship worldwide. These leggings are loud and have a bit of “pop” to the design, if that’s your thing. They are one of my favorite brands going at the moment.

good american seamless chunky rib legging

Sizes up to: 5X
Inseam: Unknown; should fit bodies up to 5’11”
Price: $69
Shop the Good American leggings

Good American are one of my favorite brands for long legs (their jeans are LIT.) While there isn’t an inseam measurement given, the size 16 model above is 5’9″ so I would recommend these for tall curvy bodies up to a 5’11”.

How good is the chartreuse green? Major 80’s gym vibes from these.

Keep in mind: while these tall plus size leggings run to a 5X, the Good American definition of a 5X is more like a size 26/28 as opposed to a true 5X.

fabletics ultra high-waisted pureluxe

Sizes up to: 6X
Inseam: ?
Price: $64.95
Shop Fabletics: Here

I don’t have an inseam length available from Fabletics’ product info but including these for the simple reason that tall plus women wear these well. I’m talking about the 5’9” model on their product page and I’m also talking about the Hunter McGrady, who rocks the Fabletics high-waists. She’s a true 6 feet, and these run to the top of her ankle, so they just have enough to cover her and do it well.

yitty smoothing high-waist legging

Sizes up to: 6X
Inseam: ?
Price: $69.95
Shop them: Here

I’m not totally sure how long these run, but one thing we know about Yitty is that they’re going to get actual plus size women to model for them, and at 5’8” the leggings crop at just above the model’s ankles (when you select a size 1X or above you’ll see the plus model.)

You could probably trust these to fit true to size up to 5’10” and wear them a little shorter if you’re up to 6 feet. If you’re any taller than that, I probably would stay away given their relative unknown.

athleta ultra high rise elation tight

Sizes up to: 3X*
Inseam: 30”
Price: $89
Shop them: Here

These look amazing, and the reviews can attest to the quality and true-to-size fit of these leggings. The thing is, they offer a 30 inch inseam for their “tall” fit, and the “tall” sizes only go up to an XL. You can go with a 3XL but the inseam is a rather disappointing 27”. This is not one for me (too tall, too fat) but if you can wrangle into these, they’d look amazing on you 😉
